Early Career Fellowship Programme - Future Agricultures

 The Early Career Fellowship Programme is a Future Agricultures (FAC) capacity building initiative for young researchers working on agriculture policy research

The programme focuses on early career professionals who have recently graduated from post-graduate studies and are starting on their careers.AwardsThere are three types of awards available under this fellowship programme.
  • One year full-time post-masters or post-doc appointment
  • One year part-time post-masters or post-doc appointment
  • Six months full time post-doc appointment.

General Eligibility Criteria
This fellowship programme supports young researchers who have recently completed their degree in an appropriate development-related field, including agricultural or applied economics, anthropology, development studies, environmental science and policy (including climate change), gender studies, geography, political science, public administration, rural sociology, science and technology studies, etc.

The focus is on junior candidates early in their career with a strong interest in conducting research on agricultural policy issues in Sub-Saharan Africa.

At this moment, there is currently no call for applications. But for those interested can already prepare themselves for the rounds of 2012!

  1. The Future Agricultures Consortium produces research in a variety of formats. Five key research series are available for download, circulation and citation (subject to FAC's citation guidelines - see below). In addition, there are numerous other FAC publications and related works included in the FAC online library.
