European Master in Tourism Management Denmark / Slovenia / Spain

Announcement follows

Erasmus Mundus programme offers grants to scholars (lecturers) enrolled in a third country institution who would like to carry out research and teaching assignments and scholarly work for the European Master in Tourism Management programme, for a minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of 3 months.

Third country scholar means in this context of an Erasmus Mundus Grant:

*a national from OTHER countries than EU or EFTA countries;
*who has not carried out his or her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the EU Member States or EEA-EFTA countries (on EC deadline);
*and who has NOT been accepted to register or is registered in an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course already.

Grantee scholars receive 1,200 € per week (gross amount)*. The scholarship is a lump sum, meant to cover ALL costs (e.g., travelling, visa costs, accommodation, living expenses, health insurance, etc.).
* Subject to the taxation policies applied to individual scholarships in the different participating countries.

The number of grants awarded by the European Commission is limited. The EMTM consortium is in charge of selecting the scholars.


Scholars contribute to teaching in the EMTM programme:

at the University of Southern Denmark in Denmark;
at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia;
at the University of Girona in Spain.


Criteria of eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

*to be a lecturer in a third-country* institution (*A third-country is any country other than a UE member state or a EEA/EFTA country (Iceland Liechtenstein and Norway));
*PhD or equivalent in disciplines related to Tourism Management (Scholars’ field of expertise should correspond to the European Master in Tourism Management curriculum content);
*a minimum of five year experience in Education/Research;
English language proficiency;
*conformity of documents provided: passport copy *authenticated, evidence of academic or professional qualifications, copies of language certificates (where appropriate).

The application form , written in English should be downloaded (Application Form), filled-in printed out, signed and sent by e-mail to emtm@emtmmaster.net , together with the following documents:

*EMTM application form;
*Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae singleing out up to 5 articles and up to 5 research projects which are related to one of courses of EMTM programme; and if applicable the name and other details of up to five courses recently given in English;
*Copy of the PhD diploma;
*Letter of motivation and activity plan (please choose the preferred period of stay between minimum 2 weeks and maximum 3 months and specify the plan of your activities: teaching/research/student tutoring activities) **;
*Clear copy of a valid passport.
*The application compressed file (in zip or rar format), including application form and all required documents should not exceed 6MB.
